NATIONAL SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS DRAW ANNOUNCED
Digicel 3G+ Bermuda National Squash Championships 2011 start on Sunday, March 13
Thursday, March 10, 2011 – Hamilton, Bermuda. On Wednesday evening at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club (BSRA), the draws were made for the Men’s and Ladies’ divisions within the 2011 Digicel 3G+ Bermuda National Squash Championships. Taking place from Sunday, March 13 until Saturday, March 19, the Championships promise to be exciting, with a record number of participants entering the competition this year.
BSRA President, David Gibbons said, "It’s fantastic to have Digicel sponsoring our National championships for the fourth consecutive year. We are looking forward to a great event!"
Some of the favorites include: former World #63, Nick Kyme; 5-time Champion, Patrick Foster; new World Tour player and 18 yr old Bermuda Junior National Champion, Micah Franklin; new Assistant Director of Squash, Andrew Mount; former Ladies Champions, Denise Kyme and Liz Martin; and Bermuda Junior Champion, Rachel Barnes.
"We've got all the top players competing,” said BSRA Director of Squash, Patrick Foster, “including former World #63 Nick Kyme and Bermuda star Micah Franklin, who is flying in from his Amsterdam training base for the championships. Everyone wants to win the Digicel 3G+ Nationals; it’s the biggest squash event of the year."
